The 2012 Rauzan Gassies is somewhat tannic, austere and rustic, but dense ruby/purple, yet possesses some serious concentration and body. The angularity and astringency of the tannins are a distraction, raising doubts about whether this wine will ever fully come together. However, it has plenty of up-side potential and will keep and evolve over a 15- to 20-year period. By Robert Parker. |
