| Tasting note |
Tasted blind at Southwold ’06 Bordeaux tasting. This exceeded my expectations by a considerable mile and stood out in this blind comparison. It has a very ripe, liquorice, blackcurrant, almost honeyed bouquet with a lot of unresolved new oak. It has an exotic allure. The palate is medium-bodied, fine tannins, black cherry, liquorices and bilberry with hints of dried apricot and a grippy finish. This needs a serious amount of cellaring to get the most form it. Excellent. Tasted January 2010. By Neal Martin, Jul 2010. |
