Dense ruby purple with notes of mint, incense, herbs, black currant, and licorice, the 2004 Talbot is medium-bodied, moderately tannic, and slightly austere. It starts off well with an impressive attack, but narrows out in the mouth. It should evolve over a 10- to 14-year period. By Robert Parker, Jun 2006.
