| Tasting note |
This property is located on the famous western plateau of Saint-Emilion a few hundred meters from the city. The vineyard covers eight hectares made up of the following grape varieties: 60% Merlot 30% Cabernet Franc 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Pressac. The soils are sandy from aeolian deposits resting on a subsoil of alios. The wine is vinified in cement vats and stainless vats which allows a perfect control of the different phases of fermentation. Then it has the privilege of being raised in new oak barrels. The vines of old vines (40-50 years old) give the wine a great depth an intense color and a softness that flatters the palate. It is a wine that harmonizes perfectly with the beautiful pieces of meat game and cheese.- Chateau Vieux clos St. Emilion |
